career in Springdale.
H.C Grant Museum was the home of Springdale’s first mayor, Harvey Grant, and
it still holds items from the days of the mayor.
On the outskirts of the Town of Springdale is Glassy Beach, which is known for
being covered in smooth pieces of broken glass that you can safely walk across
in your bare feet. Glassy beach was formed because it used to be the old town dump.
Springdale was originally named “Wolf Cove” but in 1897 its name was officially
changed to Springdale in recognition of the freshwater spring that served as a
source of water for residents.

Springdale has many recreational facilities, including stadium/recreation dept,
curling club, swimming pool, two playgrounds, tennis courts, softball field, sand
