Canadian Homebuilders’ Association – Eastern Newfoundland
The Canadian Homebuilders Association - Eastern Newfoundland has supported and carried out research related to labour market challenges and needs for the Residential Construction sector in this province. The CHBA-EN is currently developing a new, employer-driven and workplace-based program to help attract young people into their sector and the skilled trades.

Council of Marine Professional Associates (COMPASS)
The Council of Marine Professional Associates (COMPASS) was established to promote marine transportation and offshore career and training opportunities, profile the importance of the marine transportation and offshore petroleum industries to the local economy, and contribute to addressing the human resource needs of these industries. Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Information Technology Industries
The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Information Technology Industries (NATI) is currently undertaking an initiative to increase awareness among youth that the technology and science industries are a viable career choice, and to encourage enrollment in such programs once they graduate from high school. By working with the youth in this province to raise the level of their awareness of opportunities in the technology sector, NATI will be directly contributing to increasing the supply of skilled labour to meet the future demands of industry. Petroleum Industry Human Resources Committee
The Petroleum Industry Human Resource Committee (PIHRC) was established in December 1998 by federal, provincial and industry stakeholders.
The PIHRC’s mandate is to review the employment, training and other human resource issues related to the emerging provincial petroleum sector over a ten year period.
